Rolling on the River....
Last weekend Farmer and I headed to Warsaw Illinois, from where he originally hails. We were able to see a lot of his friends and family, so that was fun. He's pretty much out and about with everyone with regards to his fabulosity, so I was the official boyfriend for the weekend.

We stayed with his friend Cher, who lives in a cool old house on the Mississippi. She's in her 60's, but full of spunk and can mix a mean bloody Mary. Her place is really beautiful.

This week I had a conference call with the big boss in DC regarding my move down to Kansas. It looks like I need to be there by October 6th. Yikes!!! Farmer and I decided to try to rent my place in Des Moines because the market is so bad right now. We'll rent a place down in Kansas for us to move to. I'll only be there a couple years at the most before they close down that office and move me somewhere else. The one good thing about moving is that it forces me to go through all my stuff and do some major "do-I-really-need-this" sorting. Farmer is going to be a pain because he has more chatzkies that you can shake a stick at. We are going to take some boxes of his stuff to a local auction house to get rid of it.



It's going to be a busy month....

This weekend not much is going on other than house hunting on the internet. Tonight my old boss is throwing me a bon voyage soiree at his place. I might have to drink beers...*shudder*.
